RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 19, 2004 FW Murphy Announces Second Generation of MurphyLink Control Panels Tulsa, OK – FW Murphy releases its second generation of MurphyLink™ Plug and Go Panels,” announces Mark Cramer, Manager of Industrial Stationary Markets at FW Murphy. The M110 and M310 series of panels feature an integrated PowerView system, FW Murphy’s innovative electronic display system, designed for modern electronically controlled engines and equipment applications using the SAE J1939 Controller Area Network (CAN). The panels, which work with standard external harnesses, make utilizing this technology simple with a complete plug and go system. The basic M110 panel features a key switch, increment/decrement throttle and the PowerView display. The deluxe M310 panel also includes a series of PowerView Analog Gages for critical engine data, several throttle options, plus an optional audible alarm and relay unit. Standard configurations are available depending on engine manufacturer model and application requirements. The pre-wired standard external harnesses (6,12, 20 and 30 feet) and “plug and go” panels make it quick and easy to install on engines powering stationary and mobile equipment. In addition, multiple throttle options are available (increment/decrement, run/idle, no throttle or analog throttle). “The M110 and M310 panels are a huge leap forward in our panel design,” said Cramer. “We’re providing our innovative PowerView display as a fully-integrated feature, plus our standard external harnesses allow the simplest possible installation on most major engines. The same external harness adapts to the basic 110 panel or the deluxe 310 series and can also be used for custom panels.” “We’ve done the engineering research for our customers, so that now all they have to do is plug our system into their electronic engine and they’re ready to go.” The PowerView System is comprised of the PowerView display and the PowerView Analog Gages. The PowerView is a multifunction tool that enables equipment operators to view many different engine or other transmission parameters and service codes. The PowerView information is displayed on its large graphical backlit LCD screen, providing a window into the modern electronic engines and transmissions. The display can show either a single parameter or a quadrant display that includes four parameters simultaneously. Diagnostic capabilities include fault codes with text translation for the most common fault conditions. MurphyLink™ Plug and Go pre-engineered panels are complete solutions for stationary and mobile applications and make installation a breeze.
