FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 30, 2004 FW Murphy Releases ‘TTD Series’ Fault Annunciator New Model Improves Interface, Provides Easier Setup and Retrofitting TULSA, OK, SEPTEMBER 30 – FW Murphy has announced the release of the TTD annunciator, the latest addition to their extensive line of fault annunciators. The TTD continues Murphy’s tradition of providing reliable and innovative controls and simplified automation systems for engine-driven applications. The “TTD Series” product is a solid-state fault annunciator and shutdown control system designed to protect engines, compressors and their associated equipment. “The unit was designed to be a universal product that is easier to use than previous annunciators, while offering more features,” said Terry Baldwin, Murphy Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Oil and Gas. “Ease of use was one of the main goals for this model,” Baldwin said. “It gives you one display head for all configurations. Plus, we designed this unit to be easier to set up, easier to retrofit and easier to emulate existing annunciators.” The TTD Annunciator monitors 48 user-configured sensor inputs from normally open and/or normally closed sensors. Each of the inputs can be configured by the user for various types of shutdown. The intuitive, multi-color backlit display screen provides an easy operator interface for setup and operations. The upgraded digital display also features color-coded system alerts. The new annunciator features selectable emulation of existing annunciators, giving it a new level of retrofitting capabilities and a major improvement in the setup process. The unit also has an industry standard communications package, including a RS232/RS485 Modbus RTU communications port with selectable baud rates up to 38,400 bps. The annunciator features read/write capability, and can be fully configured via the keypad or through a linked PC. Tachometer and Pre/Post Lube functionality are standard options. “This is the next generation of fault annunciators. It provides more flexibility and configuration options for the user, plus a huge number of extra features,” said Baldwin. The initial release will include power supplies for Class I, Division 2 hazardous areas. Class I, Division 1 power supplies will follow. Both Division 1 and Division 2 power supplies can be powered by 10-32 vdc or 90-400 vdc negative ground CD ignition.
