The Industrial Panel Division manufacturing organization provides the same high standard of customer support that has been established throughout Murphy.
Our operation is lean and flexible in order to provide the highest level of customer support. We have implemented kanban controlled inventory, a cross training program and a very active 5S program.
This high level of customer support increases quality and reliability, reduces lead times for production and lowers cost.
Panel Assembly
The panel assembly area uses lean principles to ensure maximum flexibility and minimum production cycle time. We have three lines that produce, test, package, and ship any size or quantity of panel specified by our customers.

- Very short manufacturing cycle times
- Every panel packaged with expandable foam for delivery assurance
Wire Harness Assembly
The wire harness shop blends quality with flexibility. Various manufacturing principles, including lean, are used to ensure quick response times to our customers’ needs.
Key Capabilities:
- Harness design via SolidWorks Routing software
- Fully automated wire processing with crimp force monitoring
- Fully automated wire marking
- Full functional testing
- Tie wrap, taping, looming, braid application
- Kanban controlled production for visual factory
Sheet Metal Fabrication
The turnkey sheet metal shop helps us deliver shorter turnaround times on engineered-to-order panels, as well as faster response for production parts. We use lean principles to ensure that our work in process remains low, which, allows very quick delivery times.
Key Capabilities:
- Specialized software for turret operation programming and optimization
- CNC servo controlled Murata 22 ton turret press
- CNC servo controlled Cincinnati 90 ton press brake with virtual instructions
- Specialized software for bend simulation/assurance and programming
- Welding
- Cleaning and Powder coating
